Problems with Six Axis Controller after 3.66 update?

My six axis controllers have started behaving very erratically after the 3.66 update. They are almost unusable at this point. I have tried different controllers, but the problems are still happening. (My controllers aren't new, but are in good condition.) The main problem so far is that the controller does not recognize a button press or movement of the analog stick, or worse, overcompensates dramatically for a single button or stick movement and sends my player flying off screen. (Also makes it difficult to select a movie from Netflix) Another problem is that one of my controllers only works now if I keep it plugged in. I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem. I'm worried that my PS3 might be burning out or something.
