Android Pixel Color Question need help!?

Is there a way to scan a selected area or the entire screen and see if certain pixels are certain colors? I'm creating an app that uses the Camera to return pixel color data yet nothing i've researched shows you can return just a single Pixel's color value on an android device! Please help! Thanks!
