How can i have a transparent selection in photoshop?

There are loads of other selection tools other than the rectangular marquee. Try using onof the lassos or magic wand. Even using the rectangular selection tool you're not using it properly. Photoshop is a paint program not a drawing program and cannot separate out objects as it sounds you're trying to do. When you select part of the image, make sure you select only what you want to move.
