Does anybody ever actually select a "best answer" anymore?

I agree with you. People ought to pick the best answer. I think if they don't the question ought to be deleted. The voting on this site is the most abused aspect. I have seen top contributors who are not even subtle about the accounts they keep in their dogs, cats, toddlers and relatives names so they can vote for themselves. The voting system is the most abused part of this site.
