What anime is this? Motorcycle-things that turn into robots?

I saw an AMV today at Animazement (a convention), and the anime was intriguing but now my friends and I can't remember the title. In the AMV the primary character was a guy with brown hair who rode a motorcycle-type bike that turned into a robot, and he was (very) involved with a girl with blue hair. There was a clip where the girl with blue hair was dancing in a place with really bright lights (may or may not have been a club)... it kind of had an 80s feel to it, like Flashdance. Also, the style of the anime had that older look to it where the animation is fuzzy and not as sharp as modern anime (kind of like Cowboy Bebop, but maybe older). Does this ring a bell to anyone??
